How Sandwich Panels Reduce Indoor Temperature by 6-8°C

In Pakistan and the subcontinent, summer temperatures routinely exceed 45°C. For warehouses, factories, cold stores, and even residential buildings, this extreme heat means high energy bills, uncomfortable working conditions, and reduced equipment lifespan.

But there's a proven solution: PUF/PIR sandwich panels — and they can reduce indoor temperatures by 6-8°C without any active cooling.

How Does It Work?

Sandwich panels consist of two metal skins (usually PPGI steel) bonded to a core of rigid polyurethane foam (PUF) or polyisocyanurate (PIR). This foam core has an incredibly low thermal conductivity — typically 0.022 W/m·K for PUF.

When sunlight hits a conventional roof or wall, heat transfers through the material into the building. With a sandwich panel, the insulating core acts as a thermal barrier, dramatically slowing down heat transfer.
