Step Counter & Motion Sensor Telemetry Guide
The ColdMatrix Step Counter uses your phone's built-in motion sensor (DeviceMotionEvent) to detect the rhythmic acceleration pattern of walking. Tap "Start Tracking" and keep your phone on you β in a pocket or in hand β while you walk.
Browser & permission notes: Motion sensor access requires a secure HTTPS connection, and some browsers ask you to grant motion permission the first time you tap Start. If your browser or device doesn't expose motion data, step counting will stay at zero rather than fake a number β you can still log your day using the Reset/manual approach.
Heart rate: Tap Measure and cover your rear camera and flash with your fingertip β the app reads the color pulse in your blood flow over 15β30 seconds to calculate BPM, the same principle used by camera-based pulse apps. Hold still for the best reading. If your device has no flash or camera access is blocked, you can enter a reading manually instead.
Blood pressure: A phone camera cannot measure blood pressure. Use the Log button to record a reading you've taken with a proper BP monitor β the app stores and tracks it for you.
